Running around the yard...too hot for clothes again

Flying never gets old :-)

We had a minor flooding problem, but thankfully the work crew arrived promptly (shown below).

This is our new house! It was overgrown with weird shrubbery which we have ripped out and replaced with tidy garden beds. Since I took this picture Adam pried off the giant "ONE" that was glued to the siding. It was about 12 inches tall and definitely overkill. We're slowly getting things into shape!

Cousin Nathan brought over some new toys this week, including this little car. Our driveway is way too steep for Callum to propel himself along, so Mummy or Daddy has to push him around.

Sitting in a big chair next to Grandpa

Playing on the slip-n-slide with Nathan

Nathan and Grandpa rigged up an "American Ninja Warrier" course and the boys both love it. As you can see, there's a balance beam, two platforms, a rope for swinging and a water hazard.

Callum isn't allowed to play with Mummy's hose for very long so he took full advantage of having access to Grandpa's. He played with it for probably 20 minutes, learning how to swirl water around, fill up the watering can, and how to unscrew (and replace) the nozzle. Grandpa's rain barrel was full when he started...not sure how much water's left now :-)

As you can see, Callum's doing really well! He has settled into his new house and loves seeing Grandma and Grandpa almost every day. Soon Daddy will be home every day, too and we can't wait!

Callum helping Grandpa in the flower garden

Showing off his blue eyes

Mummy bought him a balloon yesterday and he can't get enough of it.

Mother of the year? Nope, not me. I finished snapping my photo before helping Callum back up when he fell in the pool.

 Making biscuits with Grandma

Saturday, 2 June 2012

We're back staying with Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of days...in another attempt to get rid of the cigarette smell in our new house we're having everything painted. We all scrubbed and scrubbed the walls and ceilings over the past few days and now the painter can do his thing and we're escaping the paint fumes.

Playing in the rain

Grandma and Grandpa tore up all the scraggly shrubs from our front and side gardens and Daddy put in tidy trees and plants in their place. We found a watering can that was perfect for a 1-year old, so Callum could help out, too.
