Poor Callum had his first round of shots this week and he was miserable for two full days afterwards. Today he's still a bit fussy and sleepy but is back to smiling and wanting to play.
When they measured him at the doctors he was above the 25th percentile (no surprise to anyone who's seen him lately), and his legs weren't even stretched out properly.

We're getting more and more comments on how big Callum is -what we're mostly noticing is how alert and happy he seems to be This weekend, Callum learned that he can touch the toys hanging from his exercise mat. Adam learned that Callum will stick out his tongue when you poke his nose.

Today was the first day that was warm enough for Callum to be outside and not completely covered up. It took him a while to get used to it and he didn't like how bright the sun was. Once we had him in his stroller with the sun-shade down he was really happy. When we went for a walk, we saw the Easter Bunny on Peel Street.

Here are some pictures under our first Easter Tree. Since Callum's too young for chocolate and I can't eat it, we didn't have any treats inside the eggs - but next year we will for sure :-)

Callum grabbed his dangly toy a few times yesterday and swung it around - I don't think he meant to grab it, but who can tell for sure.

My 12-pound turkey is outgrowing clothes at an alarming rate...he's also turning onto his side, 1/2 way to rolling over.

We made almond butter this afternoon (yum!) and Callum was lulled to sleep by the sound of the food processor - an added bonus :-)

These pictures were taken earlier today, during play time. He's staying awake for longer and longer periods now, and is willing to try different things. I haven't had much luck with him before on his tummy, but he seemed to like it today and was lifting his head well.

Gillian sent Callum a cute onesie, size 6 mths. Either it shrunk in the wash, or he's grown again since the weekend, because today it's a perfect fit.
Also, his hair has always had a touch of red to it in some light, on some days...we kept thinking it might turn bright blonde, like both Adam's and my hair when we were little. But today it is RED all over, in every light...wonder if it will stick?

Callum and Adam watched the Masters Golf finals yesterday afternoon, which meant I got to have a cat-nap. He usually doesn't sleep for more than 2.5 hours, and he's had a lot of tummy troubles lately, so it was a welcome break for a very tired Mummy.

Callum's in a great mood this morning, so we're planning to go through to Barrie to have his Easter pictures taken...fingers crossed!

Grandma and Grandpa are up for a couple days to see Callum. Grandpa and Callum love to make faces at one another.

I had to go into the 3-6 month clothing bin today in Callum's closet to pull out more clothes for my growing boy. He now takes up the entire length of the change table attached to his playpen.

Callum has a really cute pair of alien p.j's...here he is showing them off to Daddy
.
Yes, a lot of the pictures I take are of Callum, alone on the couch - sorry. It's hard to think of different poses when your subject can't sit up by himself.

This is us at the "cottage", where we stay while Adam is working during the week. You can see the Saugeen River behind us, and Lake Huron from the kitchen window.
Since Adam is off work all weekend, we decided to get out and enjoy the almost-spring weather. We took Callum on a few long walks, and went back to the store that sold Adam the "litte" crabby outfit. That's right, we got our $4 back...

Here's our happy baby enjoying the teddy-bear snowsuit that Grandma Downie sent him. He's been wearing it for a while, but he's really filling it out now.
