Grandma and Grandpa bought Callum a play-yard and he LOVES LOVES LOVES the teddy bear mobile that comes with it. I took a video of him playing with it, but it won't upload to the blog - sorry...

Since Adam's back at work, he only gets to see Callum for a few hours in the evening. Guess when Callum's fussy time is? So the other day Daddy brought Callum home a new onesie...

And I just realized as I was posting these pics, that there's a problem with the shirt. Can you find it?

Here's Callum posing in a rugby shirt that his Grandma made for him.
I love this picture :-)

Of course Adam got a whole handful of smiles from Callum when they were playing together - the first ones "in response" to another person. Before that they were largely directed at his teddy bear mobile.

I love to see Callum smiling and laughing! It still doesn't happen very often so it's a real treat.

He's been outgrowing even more outfits and the built-in feet on his sleepers are stretched to capacity...so I decided to weigh the little turkey on our bathroom scale. Any guesses? He was just under 7lbs2oz at birth (5 weeks ago), today he's about 10 lbs!

But Mummy, big boys don't need naps

Unfortunately, this is the closest thing to a smile I've gotten out of Callum all morning...and it's been a long morning.

We just spotted a really big, rather mean-looking rabbit in the back yard. I went to get Molly to show her - she loves stalking wildlife - but she was tuckered out from chasing a spider earlier and had settled herself into the linen closet and wouldn't come out.

As you can tell from this "self-portrait" we are home alone...

This is Callum's "I don't smell anything" look.

Callum is getting longer every day and is finally getting a pot belly - which means his pants (trousers for those of you reading in Scotland) will now stay on.

The weather is snowy and slippery today so I think we might be housebound - definitely won't be heading out in the stroller...

Downies are visiting

Callum loves his new squeek toy "Sophie" the giraffe...

Grandma spent the week with Callum and Mummy, and Grandpa came today to pick her up. Callum was happy to see Grandpa again.

Callum is a month old already, and finally big enough to wear something other than a sleeper. This is very exciting for Mummy who couldn't wait to get him into overalls...

Molly and Callum have always had a lot in common - all they do is sleep, eat and poop - and apparently they share the same taste in toys too!

Snuggle time with Grandma

Milka and Ivan sent Callum a huge truck filled with toys - thank you!

Monday, 14 March 2011

Callum, Grandma and I had two big outings today - to the grocery store, and on a big walk. He was in a good mood all day and pulled some really cute faces when we got home.

Just Hanging Out

At three weeks old, Callum is staying awake longer and taking notice of everything...

Best Friends

Our cat, Molly, isn't a huge fan of Callum. But she gets pretty desperate for attention sometimes...

My New Jumpsuit

Grandma knitted Callum a beautiful jumpsuit to keep him warm on outings...

First Bath

Callum wasn't overly impressed with his first bath, but he soon settled down in his p.j.'s...

Daddy's Boy

Test Driving Callum's New Crib

Aunt Gillian made a beautiful baby blanket for Callum, covered in trucks. He loves to have tummy time on it every day.

Aunt Gillian, Uncle Mirko and Big Cousin Nathan came to visit a week or so after we came home. Nathan was a little disappointed at how much Callum slept...

First Days at Home

In the Hospital

Grandma and Grandpa were visiting Collingwood when Callum was born, so they got to participate in all the action. Here they are in hospital, when he's a couple of days old.
